Department of Natural Resources Tower area wildlife managers and shallow lakes specialists will hold a public informational meeting on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. to discuss Big Rice and Little Rice Lake management.

The meeting will be held at the DNR Tower offices at 650 Highway 169, Tower.

DNR Staff will be available to discuss wild rice management, duck hunting, pickerelweed management, water level management and Little Rice Refuge waterfowl surveys.

“This will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the management of these lakes, and to provide feedback on how management decisions may be impacting their use of those areas,” said Tom Rusch, DNR Tower area wildlife manager.

Hunters, ricers, trappers, bird watchers and other wildlife enthusiasts are all welcome to attend and participate in the discussion.
